Will halloween bounce back?

So [tag]Halloween[/tag] seems to be a little less of an event as it was in my childhood for the kids and the [tag]community[/tag]. I truly enjoy it with my kids, but it seems like it’s different now. Emily considers Halloween her favorite holiday, so maybe it’s mainly for 30-somethings now.
Perhaps years of urban legends around poisoned candy (false), [tag]razor blades[/tag] (true) in apples or push pins sprinkled in for fun (true) have taken their toll. This sorta demonstrated the impact of [tag]social media[/tag], old school style.
Now there are neighborhood Halloween festivals, tick or treating NOT on Halloween and just not enough kids ACTUALLY [tag]trick-or-treating[/tag] on the mutually agreed to or municipality assign day on or before the real date.
This new Halloween mode just means more candy for me, so I buy the good stuff. Had a great day at the festival, but I doubt Halloween will be the same cool pagan holiday for excess calories it used to be. So is Hadrian a Dog or a Cow?
