[...] I never fully appreciated the value of slow cooking and smoking meat - even when I ate and enjoyed meals cooked in this way. My biggest day was when I got a gas grill for “easy on” BBQ - well alas, patience is a virtual and trial and error is part of the ceramic smoker experience. The Big Green Egg is a great tool for the REAL BBQ guy or gal who has time and a desire to master outdoor cooking. I’ve ate meals, unknown to me, cooked on a big green egg and never really appreciated it, but do now. WHy? I had a 1.5 hour conversation, at work, with these two guys who pontificated on the eggstrodinary (cheese) value of the big green egg. I mean normal folks, who refused to talk about their TV watching habits, but will nearly drool whilst talking about their egg. I don’t have the patience or patio space for another BBQ (Gas grill, webber and table is all I got room for), but this has become a negotiation point on the reason this whole blog started. So I’m negotiating knives for patio space and a green egg. Have I lost you? Read “the about” page - Here… [...]
